Welcome in! I’m Nan, a Richmond-based writer attending the VCU Brandcenter as a creative strategist.

Before Brandcenter, I spent four years as director of operations for a Montessori teacher education program, managing admissions, finances, and various team projects. I also led a full data management overhaul, working with a web designer to build an easy and accessible portal from scratch.

I am equal parts Type A and Type B, a Libra Sun, Libra Moon, and Virgo Rising, and grew up in a household where everyone played musical instruments. My taste was shaped by my family’s shared desktop iTunes library, and I started going to live shows from a young age.

I studied English and Creative Writing at the University of Virginia. During this time, I also interned with Arts & Minds, an NYC-based museum education program for people living with Alzheimer’s.
